How I got started

LYRICS 7th Grade

Music on the radio inspired me to play music. One day during summer break, right before Junior High, I wrote a lyric in a class paper notebook. It was a love song. It must have been from a grown-up's POV due to I had yet to fall in love and I haven't held a job yet, both topics were included.

STORIES 8th Grade

My Junior High Principal encouraged me to use his computer to write a story. "I think you would like it. I think you would really enjoy it." I wasn't sure I could do it. I wrote every night for a couple of weeks after school and finally made it to the copy machine. "Your English class can take turns reading paragraphs." Writing was so much fun. I had so much fun. My class cheered and clapped. I became obsessed right away.
